How can a Life Coach Help Me?

Life coaching is a process of helping people to identify and achieve their personal goals. Life coaches can help you with a variety of areas, including relationships, career, finances, health, and well-being.

Here are some specific ways that a life coach can help you:

  • How to set and achieve goals - A life coach can help you to identify your goals, develop a plan to achieve them and break them down into smaller, more manageable steps. They can also provide support and accountability along the way. One of my specialties is making sure you have a litmus test to ensure your goals are authentic and in alignment with your core values.

  • Overcome challenges and obstacles - Everyone faces challenges in their lives. A life coach can help you to identify and address the challenges that are holding you back from achieving your goals. Oftentimes we don’t see the forest because we are in the middle of the trees. One of my skills is the ability to see the big picture and the spectrum of options before you. And I can help you see it too! The solutions become more obvious to you when you partner with a coach to help you see the big picture and get out of the weeds!

  • Improve your relationships - A life coach can help you to develop better communication and conflict resolution skills. They can also help you to set boundaries and build stronger relationships with your partner, family, co-workers, employees, and friends. Communication is such an important part of relationships - work with a coach to help you be more authentic, self-assured, and assertive to ensure you are speaking your truth loud and clear.

  • Find career satisfaction - If you're not happy with your career, a life coach can help you identify your career goals and develop a plan to achieve them. They can also help you to network with people in your field and prepare for job interviews. How would a coach do that? By focusing on what is really important to you - your why. Once your “why” is uncovered it is a lot easier to develop a professional roadmap that feels just right for you. We all have our own journeys and our own paths to take. Let’s map yours out together.

  • Live a more balanced and fulfilling life - A life coach can help you to create a more balanced and fulfilling life. They can help you to set priorities, manage your time effectively, and reduce stress. This is such a critical and often overlooked area in a professional’s life. Believe me, as a CPA for 25 years, and a business owner for 18, I know first-hand how it feels to burn the candle at both ends until you just plain burn out! Don’t let it get that far - working with a skilled coach to understand why life has gotten out of balance will help you work your way back into balance in a sustainable, meaningful way.

  • Improve your self-confidence and self-esteem - A life coach can help you to develop a more positive self-image and increase your self-confidence. They can also help you to identify and challenge your limiting beliefs. What are limiting beliefs? A limiting belief is a thought or state of mind that you think is the absolute truth and stops you from doing certain things. These beliefs don't always have to be about yourself, either. They could be about how the world works, ideas, and how you interact with people. We all have them - but I have a unique way of recognizing them and bringing them to light, so we can work together to overcome them. Limiting beliefs are sneaky, they are often present when we live “in default mode” on “autopilot” and not with intention. We can work on that together!
